Soon...

Soon I will post a "NEW YEAR'S" Post, and a post about being tired of my house bound, cabin fever children...but in the meantime, what do you think of the name Abner for a boy and Hazel for a girl?
Ricky dosen't know I'm posting this...just wanted some input. Anyone have any other great unique names?

I really like the name Hazel. I personally don't know anyone with that name, but think it is darling. I also don't know any Abner's. I did have a really good friend that we called Abe, I think that was short for Abraham though.

I like the name Hazel! I am not too keen on Abner, but still the same I think when the baby is born you'll know if it fits or not :). An alternative to Abner for a boy could be Payden, or Hollace I think both of them are unique boy names. Which ever you choose, good luck! :)

NO Abner.
NO Hazel.
ABSOLUTELY NO to anything that ends in "-en".

I couldn't agree with Jamison Fischer more, with Abner. Couldn't disagree more with Hazel. We must be siblings.

No payden, hayden, layden or Hollace--just think what the adolescent males would do with that one!
Hazel is OK
abner-so-so. I guess one needs to see what fits the baby when it makes its appearance.
Hope you are doing well.

OK--here are some names from Theodore S Giesel
I'm kind of Oliver Boliver Butt myself.

Did I ever tell you that Mrs. McCave
Had twenty-three sons, and she named them all Dave?
Well, she did. And that wasn't a smart thing to do.
You see, when she wants one, and calls out "Yoo-Hoo!
Come into the house, Dave!" she doesn't get one.
All twenty-three Daves of hers come on the run!

This makes things quite difficult at the McCaves'
As you can imagine, with so many Daves.
And often she wishes that, when they were born,
She had named one of them Bodkin Van Horn.
And one of them Hoos-Foos. And one of them Snimm.
And one of them Hot-Shot. And one Sunny Jim.
And one of them Shadrack. And one of them Blinkey.
And one of them Stuffy. And one of them Stinkey.
Another one Putt-Putt. Another one Moon Face.
Another one Marvin O'Gravel Balloon Face.
And one of them Ziggy. And one Soggy Muff.
One Buffalo Bill. And one Biffalo Buff.
And one of them Sneepy. And one Weepy Weed.
And one Paris Garters. And one Harris Tweed.
And one of them Sir Michael Carmichael Zutt.
And one of them Oliver Boliver Butt.
And one of them Zanzibar Buck-Buck McFate . . . .
But she didn't do it. And now it's too late.

Em vote for either Ivy or Oliver.

I like the name Hazel, since it is my Nana's name and if I had a girl, I was going to use it as a middle name, but we had a boy.
Abner, is one that may grow on me.
Good Luck!

Hazel is adorable...I considered it when we were picking names for Elijah. However, Abner I am not such a fan of...I'll get back to you if we come up with some ideas!
